Mother's Day

Mothers day is an annual event, when Mothers are treated with respect. It isn't really about what it's name is, although we still celebrate it literally. It is  three weeks before Easter Sunday. Mothering Sunday was the day that Christians returned to their mother (home) Church to prepare for Easter. This year it was on March 31st.
In America Mothers Day is celebrated in May. Back in the Roman and Greek times the festivals was in honour of the mother goddesses Rhea and Cybele.
Here are some facts about Mothers day:
1. Mothers Day started as an anti-war movement. Anna Jarvis is  the founder of Mother Day.
2. It was first celebrated in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her Mother.
