On Tuesday 9th October, Pendle Primary Academy was amazed by the hard work and effort by theatre group (M&M Productions). Excited, shocked, flabbergasted the entire school's jaws dropped. Even though, we were in a small hall, we still got everything done amazingly well. The teachers were star-struck, the students were amazed, this performance was excellent and there were lots of cliff-hangers. Overall this an amazing experience, also at the end, year6 got to learn how they create a play. The lights are the most interesting part, surprisingly, it works like a computer, you click a colour and the lights will change. Waddow Hall is an overnight trip so all the pupils have to sleep somewhere. A few weeks before, the students chose a group of people to sleep with. When you walk in the room, there are two, three or even four beds depending on how many people there are. On the side, there are two chairs, which are extremely comfy. Then, you will see a wardrobe with a hairdryer and spare towels in it. Beside the beds, there are wooden side desks, which have a lamp on it.
s Peg O'Nell is a ghost, who was previously a servant for the owner of Waddow Hall. She was an attractive girl, who fell in love with the landlord's son. As they wanted to marry, the son asked his father, "Can we marry?" but the father refused. The mother wanted Peg O'Nell dead so she hired someone to kill her.
That person threw her down the rock stairs, which made her crack her neck. Next they threw her down the well, which was down the hill next to River Ribble. Her head was detached from her body. Since this day people believe that this story is a legend. But what some people don't know is that every seven years a curse will appear on the land or someone's life would be taken. 'SWEET DREAMS!' Walking to our activities, 30 kids were split into 3 groups (10 in each group) they were having a time of there life. Arriving at there first activity, all groups went to different places to have fun. Our first activity was caving I had so much fun because it was very tricky but also very fun at the same time because it was dark and there were no lights. After we went caving we headed to the house ( Waddow Hall ) we had a lovely juice break our options were water, yellow juice and purple juice they all tasted amazing exept the water that taste super plane.
At Waddow Hall we were split into equal and fair groups of 10, which were used for the activities, that were Zip line , Caving , Archery and Crates. These groups were known as, group 1, group 2 and group 3. In the end, group 3 were victorious in the annual campolympics. Second place and third place are still unknown to this day . . . We all had team leaders, who was a teacher and an instructor; team 1 had Miss Patel and Rachel, team 2 = coach Joe and Kate, team 3 -Mrs Birmingham and Chris. Even though my team weren't victorious, we had a blast and 100 % would like to go back there.
Class Dojos were introduced to our school on 5th September 2018 and have magnificent prizes from Dojos ranged from 25 - 1000. Most people have already achieved 25 Dojos or maybe even 70 , which encourages and makes many students work hard or to be sensible within the school hours (and out of school).
