At Gala day, we knocked down cups, painted our faces, met old teachers who had left and much more. Gala day lasted for about 6 hours and all of the students enjoyed it so much.
Today, Friday 28th September, is Casterton's Gala day where we do amazing and fun things. We have selected a very few people to visit their Gala Day because we are part of our Pendle Education Trust Community. A few months ago, two of our teachers left our school ( Miss Travis and Mr Taj) and we hope they are having an amazing time.

M.G Leonard, who is a famous author, has visited our school and also brought some of her books. She was a star student in English Literature and produced many wonders for King College in London. This is a book that she wrote in 2017. Having her (M.G Leonard) come to our school was a pleasure, so thank you M.G Leonard. Did you know that M.G Leonard was afraid of many creepy crawlies when she was a child but now her fear has flown away and she has now held a Tarantula and she has Beetles of her own. After she discovered that beetles are very interesting she started her Beetle journey / adventure.
On Friday 28th of September, there was a coffee morning, which was celebrated all over the U.K. At our school (PPA) we also celebrated the Macmillan coffee morning hosted by Casterton, which is in Burnley and is part of our Pendle Education Trust community. We raised over £200 for these and some other beautiful cakes.
Today the Blog squad interviewed she told us all wonderful things about her life and was very kind ( she is a year 1 teacher) we interviewed her in the classroom she teaches in ( a big thanks to my videographers Amina and Ania ) we hope you like the interview and now you can have a look of what we produced. Today we interviewed Mr Kathrada, who is a year 2 teacher, and a new teaching member of our school. It was an exquisite way to find out more about him and all of the things he likes as well as the things he dislikes. So we hope you enjoy this interview and this will answer any questions that you have. Today the blog squad (and their wonderful videographers Ania and Amina) interviewed Miss Duckworth, a new year 4 teacher. We asked lots of questions about her daily life as a teacher also we asked some question about the things that she loves. She is a wonderful teacher and we hope she is having an amazing journey at our school. Today the Blog squad interviewed Mrs Johnson (with their wonderful videographers Amina and Ania). It was a wonderful experience to find out more about her (she is a new year 5 teacher and she is a new member of our school community). We hope you enjoy her interview and it answered any questions you weren't sure about or you wanted to ask but never had the opportunity to. We hope you enjoy it! Today we interviewed Miss Patel, a year six teacher (she is a new teacher at our school), we learned about her life before she started a wonderful new journey at PPA. with her new pupils. I hope you enjoy the interview. Our coaches (Coach Jonny and Coach Joe) do a variety of things to help us stay fit and healthy such as: PE lessons, after school clubs, arranging sports day and much, much more. Our sports coaches, who are very kind, always teach PE to the pupils and are always there whenever you need them.
This year our school has 5 new teachers: Miss Patel, Mrs Johnson, Miss Duckworth, Mr Kathrada and Mrs Findlay. Miss Patel is a year 6 teacher, Mrs Johnson (a year 5 teacher), Miss Duckworth (is in year 4), Mr Kathrada (is now a year 2 teacher) and finally, Mrs Findlay is a year 1 teacher.
Make sure you try and make them feel comfortable in our amazing school. We would love you to make them feel very welcome! |
