Fantastic facts...

  • Mount Everest in Nepal and Tibet is the tallest mountain in the world with it's peak at 8,849 metres above sea-level.

  • The tallest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis in Scotland, it is 1,345 metres tall.
 
  • The Amazon river is the longest river in the world.  It travels for 4, 345 miles from its source in the Andes Mountains, Peru.  The Amazon then travels through Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Brazil until it reaches the Atlantic Ocean.​
 
  •  The River Severn is the longest river in the UK, it is only 220 miles long.
 
  • There are over 1 million mountains on Earth.​
