  • A house is a building that is made for people to live in.

  • Houses come in many different shapes and sizes. 

  • Houses in different countries look different to each other, because they are made from different materials.

  • Houses can be made from mud and clay, bricks, timber (a type of wood), and stone.

  • Traditional cottages are built with a thatched roof made from water reeds and grass.

  • People living in large cities often live in town houses, terraced houses or flats.  Flats take up less room so more people can live in one space.
