World Book Day is celebrated in many schools across England and Ireland. This is the 22nd year there has been a World Book Day. On the 7th of March, children of all ages will come together to celebrate very loud and very happy, however we will not be celebrating until the 8th of March because year 6 will be doing some tests.
Thanks to the generosity of National Book Tokens, publishers and booksellers
we can give children under eighteen (nearly 15 million) a book of their own. They can take their book token to a local bookseller and can use it to pick one of ten (exclusive, new and completely free) books.
Children are also encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from their favourite book. Our school will be wearing our pajamas because the theme is read and relax.
