Home Learning

The structure of each day will stay the same so it brings familiarity to the children.

The children know the songs from YouTube videos so please listen to them everyday.

The teachers will change the topics for each subject every day.

Wednesday 22nd July                           22.07.20

Phonics
First start with Lettercise

After the children have warmed up with lettercise please complete the following activities starting with Stage 1 and working your way through the stages until your child finds the work too difficult.
Stage 1 - revise all the phonic actions and the letter sounds.

Please use the sound mat to help you remember what the sounds look like as letters.  It may help you with your writing.

This is quite tricky but give it a go!  There are pictures at the bottom of the page which will help you!

Stage 3
Listen to the tricky word song every day - it will help you to remember them!
Keep listening to the phase 4 tricky word songs every day!  Ask your family to join in - then see if you can remember what they look like and write them down - in chalk in the yard, paint them, squirt them in water on the flags - anything goes - as long as it's ok with mum and dad!!
In Phase 4, no new graphemes (letters) are introduced.
The children will learn among other things:
  • Practise reading and spelling CVCC (consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant)  words ('bump', 'nest', 'belt,' 'milk', etc)
  • Practise reading and spelling high frequency words.
  • Practise reading and writing sentences.
  • Learn more tricky words, including 'have,' 'like,' 'some,' 'little'
